Resep Soto Tangkar

Soto tangkar (also spelled as soto tengkar) is an Indonesian soup made with beef ribs and various spices. – 1 kg beef ribs
– 2 liters water
– 1 tbsp salt
– 1 tbsp black pepper
– 1 tbsp coriander powder
– 1 tbsp cumin powder
– 1 tbsp turmeric powder
– 2 cm ginger, sliced
– 2 cm galangal, sliced
– 5 cloves garlic, minced
– 5 shallots, minced
– 2 tbsp cooking oil

1. Rinse the beef ribs and cut them into smaller pieces.
2. In a large pot, combine the beef ribs, water, salt, black pepper, coriander powder, cumin powder, turmeric powder, ginger, galangal, garlic, and shallots.
3. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 2-3 hours, or until the beef ribs are tender.
4. Heat the cooking oil in a small skillet. Add the shallots and sauté until golden brown.
5. Remove the beef ribs from the broth and slice them into thin pieces.
6. Add the sliced beef ribs to the broth and bring to a boil.
7. Add the sautéed shallots and cook for 1-2 more minutes.
8. Serve hot with rice vermicelli, cabbage, tomatoes, and fried onions.
