Built for Punjab recruitment typing tests
Many Punjab recruitment typing tests use Gurmukhi passages with a fixed layout and strict timing. TypeX includes a PSSSB-style Chunked Test where a passage is split into sections you move through with Enter or Page Down, with errors revealed after submission.
Gurmukhi InScript on any keyboard
TypeX turns a normal English keyboard into a Gurmukhi InScript keyboard automatically whenever the passage is Punjabi — including nukta letters, Gurmukhi digits and the subjoined signs. It also works with OTG keyboards on Android. If your device already types Gurmukhi, TypeX will not re-map it.
A simple Punjabi practice routine
- Week 1: home row and the most common letters; accuracy above 95% before speed.
- Week 2: matras, bihari, tippi and addak.
- Week 3: full passages in 5-minute tests.
- Week 4: 10-minute exam simulations and Weak Spot drills.
